This is a shell script that installs Compiz and Compiz Fusion on a Slackware system, using the packages from the "Dropline Gnome " project.
This script has the capability to remove Compiz also (just in case you decide to uninstall, or decide you don't like it). To do this, run it with the "-r" switch (ie: "./compiz-installer.sh -r").
The script should be run by a normal user, but will require the root password for actual package installation/removal.
You can download it in the "Downloads" section.
Update June 21 2008: I've updated the installer to use the most current version of DLG's Compiz Fusion packages (0.7.6). PLEASE contact me if you have trouble with this version.
If you have the old version and still have the script, just run it with the "-r" switch to uninstall it first. If you don't, you can go here to see the list of packages to uninstall:
www.linuxquestions.org/questions/slackware-14/easy-beryl-install-for-slack-12-575521/#post2851632
To uninstall packages in Slackware, use the "removepkg" command.
